Joe Terino was Vice Chairman of the Nassau Chapter of Local 3 Retirees and the Wives and Widows of Retirees Club. Joe was very touched about the Magro story and he decided to involve the club in a Toy Drive for the children at Winthrop Hospital in December 2005, he was not very successful and disappointed. Joe passed away in 2006 and his daughter Mary reached out to group in 2007 and 2008 to coordinate a toy drive in Joe's Memory. 2007 was a success and Joe would be absolutely thrilled the way his friends so generously donated in 2008 in his memory to the Foundation ,CCK and Child Life Department in Pediatrics on the 5th floor of the Hospital. The Donation of toys this year was fabulous as well as $1300.00 donation to the foundation.
