I must be getting old. My first half was 2:02. The second half was another story. My knees gave out at 20 miles. The last 6 miles was a grind and you know I love the grind. There is nothing better than to test how much you can push yourself even though you believe you do not have anymore to give. The body and mind surprises us and kicks in. Running to the finish line with all of the spectators cheering you on is an amazing experience. All of the pain just goes away.

The marathon was certainly worth the effort. I'm two marathons away from breaking four hours. Robert Worlow (paraplanner) and I am currently training to run the Philadelphia Marathon. Our goal is to raise $50,000.
